ISO9001/2000
is a Quality Management System that requires a planned
comprehensive periodic audit of the Company's Management System
to ensure that it is effective in operation, is meeting
specified goals, and giving good service to customers. It also
ensures that the suppliers we use are approved by the Company in
advance in order that only the highest standard of equipment is
used.
The Company is audited annually on it's systems for compliance.
ISO14001
is awarded to companies who meet the International Standard and
are known as 'green' companies because they are 'environmentally
friendly'.
The standard requires an Environmental Policy to be in existence
within the organisation, fully supported by senior management,
and outlining the policies of the company, not only to the staff
but to the public.
The policy clarifies compliance with Environmental Legislation
that may effect the organisation and stresses a commitment to
continuous improvement. Emphasis has been placed on the policy
as this provides the direction for the remainder of the
Management System. For example, one of Fylde Telecom's aims is to reduce
the use of paper by 50% during the next two years. This will be
achieved by encouraging customers, suppliers and staff to use
technology wherever possible not paper.
Investors in People
At Fylde Telecom we are committed to developing our people and
believe that up-skilling our workforce is essential to maintain
a high level of customer service. This commitment to training
has provided Fylde Telecom with the prestigious Investors in
People award.
